Manchester’s Irish Story tells the fascinating tale of the Irish in Manchester over the last two centuries. from the early days of Little Ireland and Irish Town (Angel Meadow), where they struggled against appalling hardships, to today’s vibrant community.

Dramatic political events were played out in the city with the executions of the Manchester Martyrs, the freeing of political prisoners, including Emaon de Valera, and the shooting of young Sean Morgan.

Manchester’s Irish Story also gives voice to ordinary members of the Irish community who have made this city their home.
